  August Animal Encounters


10:00 am - Porcupine Encounter at Enclosure

11:00 am - Bird of Prey Free Flight Demonstration in the Amphitheatre (except Wednesdays)

12:00 pm - Wolf Encounter at Enclosure

1:00 pm - Black Bear Encounter at Enclosure

2:00 pm - Bird of Prey Free Flight Demonstration in the Amphitheatre (except Wednesdays)

3:00 pm - Cougar Encounter at Enclosure

4:00 pm - Raccoon Encounter at Enclosure 

**Please note that Mondays are a "fast" day for our carnivores (Wolves, Cougar, Lynx and Coyotes).  This means that we do not feed them their typical diet, but we will still provide the educational talks!**

- Help, I found an orphaned/injured baby animal, what do I do?!  Click here for more information, or call 250-573-3242 ext. 230 BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!

- Summer Hours: We are open 7 DAYS A WEEK  from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm!  Come on out and see what our animals are up to.  Our Blue Heron Café will be open for you to enjoy a nice warm meal or snack, and please note that last admission is at 4:30 pm.

- Are you looking for something fun and educational to share with your classroom?  Why not book an Outreach program from the Wildlife Park?  We offer a variety of programs and bring our wildlife to you!  Click here for more information!

- Summer Kids Camps 2010.  Our kids camps will be running July 19-23 and August 16-20 this year for children aged 6-12.  Click here for more information.

- Do you need to find something unique?  At the "Naturally Yours Gift Shop" we have a wonderful array of gifts for everyone, including exciting crafts designed by local artisans.  We invite you to come out to the Park and see what's in store!

Do you have some extra building supplies left over from a project?  Do you have a surplus of old blankets, towels or other household items you no longer need?  Please call 250-573-3242, ext 226, or click here for information on how you can help the Park out with your old stuff!

Did you know?

Did you know that the British Columbia Wildlife Park boasts the largest burrowing owl breeding facility in the world?

On April 24th, 2010, our yearling burrowing owls will be released into the wild!  To learn more about how the park helps these little birds of prey, click on the link below.
